Add pears and stir to coat. Add cinnamon and water and stir to combine.
Cover and cook, stirring every once in a while, until pears are softened, about 10-15 minutes. Add a splash of water as needed to prevent sticking.
Notes
To check if pears are ripe and ready to use, gently press on the neck. If it yields slightly to pressure, it is ripe.
Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 4 days in an airtight container.
Once cooked, pears can be pureed in a blender or food processor with a little water as needed, or passed through a wire strainer or food mill for spoon feeding.
